PURPLE MOUNTAIN OBSERVATORY (PMO) explores the outdoors through a contemporary, design-driven lens. Founded in 2021, the brand reflects Matt Braun's vision of making nature more accessible by translating technical apparel into an everyday context.
At its core, PMO focuses on material innovation – lightweight, durable fabrics that provide protection and comfort without feeling overly technical. This is paired with a distinctive use of colour: balanced, sometimes also bold palettes that feel natural yet unexpected, giving each piece a subtle, recognisable identity.
Blending a quiet streetwear sensibility with functional design, PMO reworks familiar silhouettes into versatile garments made for movement and layering. The result is a more approachable take on outdoor wear, designed for a design-conscious audience.
